Initial situation
The Volkswagen Training Institute offers first-class integrated training for a wide range of professions. In order to further improve the learning environment at the institute and to provide trainees with the optimal conditions for future-oriented training, the training workshops for electrotechnical professions should have been renewed.
The solution
Ideal results were achieved by the workstation experts from ELABO, together with those responsible at the Volkswagen Training Institute, in the form of primus one workstations. The solution is convincing due to the clear arrangement of the learning systems and thus enables efficient work and optimal learning success in the future.
Ergonomic aspects are also at the centre of the implemented learning environment: For example, the ergonomic accessibility of all switching elements will provide perfect conditions for career starters right from the beginning of their professional careers. The new electrical laboratory also complies with the highest standards of occupational safety. In order to guarantee comprehensive protection for the trainees at all times, for example, reliable type B residual current circuit breakers have been installed and coloured signal lamps visible everywhere have been used to indicate the operating status of the workplace. The step-by-step switching of extra-low voltage and mains voltage elements is also colour-coded.
The room concept is completed by adapted storage space solutions. These additionally ensure efficient working and a tidy learning environment. Teaching materials and didactic teaching aids find sufficient space there and can be clearly organised.
The new primus one learning environment convinces those responsible at the Volkswagen Training Institute: "Together with the solutions from ELABO, we can now train the next generation of specialists even better for their work in companies. The optimal technical equipment is fundamental for the learning success of the trainees - and we will achieve this in future in our new learning environment," says Torsten Eismann, vocational field manager at the Volkswagen Training Institute in Zwickau.
