ELABO at productronica 2019

The world's leading trade fair for electronics development and production comes to an end and we can look back on four successful days.

For many years, ELABO has been presenting state-of-the-art workplace solutions, individual testsystems and connected measuring and testing devices at productronica in Munich. Once again this year, a series of innovations were presented.

A special highlight was the ELABO E-Case, a mobile version of the digitized workstation. The "digital factory in a suitcase" enables training institutions and crafts enterprises to test the connection between manual production and industry 4.0 on the basis of practical examples.

Especially for electrical training, a fold-away workplace in combination with the Elution® software was presented at the trade fair. A so-called multimode room function enables central control of all workstations in the room from the teacher's desk. Electrical connections can disappear completely into the table or be controlled separately.

With the FIM assembly workstation (Flexible Individual Mounting) ELABO presented an ergonomic workstation in connection with the individual digital assistance (idA), where the worker is guided step by step by means of a digital work instruction – depending on his individual competence level. Using an interface function, the ELABO Elution® software enables a web shop order commissioned by the customer to appear directly at the employee's assembly workplace in the form of a digital tutorial.

Also introduced this year: A modular test system that can be customized using the possible combination of manual workstations and (partially) automated test stations.
At the system presented, a workpiece passes through a loading and assembly workstation including individual digital assistance. Subsequently, a safety test is carried out according to VDE specifications. A particular highlight of the system is the test cell with Mitsubishi robot. The robot automatically carries out a vision, touch and rotary selector check and the workpiece is contacted independently. This automated and multifunctional inspection meets the highest standards and ensures consistent documentation of the inspection results. Finally, the test object passes through a repair and picking station, where the operator again benefits from digital support.

We also presented the ELABO Test Drive, an innovative system for mobile safety testing, leakage current testing, high-voltage testing, insulation resistance measurement, protective conductor measurement and functional testing of electrical components.

This year, the VR application presented again attracted special attention. Here, interactive 3D representation is combined with virtual reality. Complex 3D CAD models can be viewed and experienced with the application in virtual space. ELABO GmbH is thus expanding its customer care approach with innovative service for its customers.
