R&D Department Equipped by Elabo

Elabo has planned and installed the test workstations for the R & D Department at Möhlenhoff Wärmetechnik GmbH in Salzgitter, Germany.

Möhlenhoff supplies a wide range of products for use in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning sector, such as electronic comfort controls for individual rooms, under-floor convectors or high-grade cover grilles. Special emphasis is placed on in-house product development. The size of the R&D Department was therefore expanded to 600 square metres by investing millions of Euros in a new building housing offices, manufacturing and warehousing facilities. In addition, new furniture and equipment was acquired.

Right at the consultation stage, Elabo scored points for providing timely and comprehensive customer support. The floor layout incorporates several test workstations and the 6 HU superstructure units are equipped with a central safety and switching unit, an emergency OFF switch, AC power supply, adjustable AC power supply and two rack mounts - all these features permit the various operations and functions to be carried out and at the same time reflect the wishes of the employees. The side cabinets for spare parts were also precisely matched to requirements, for example by providing six cabinets with sheet steel drawers 42 cm wide, or by using other types of cabinets.

The tiltable 3,000-lux light and the patented Elabo cable management system ensure additional ergonomic comfort. The brightly, uniformly and intensively illuminated working surface and the quickly and simply modified cable routing make work easier to perform. In addition to consultation service, these factors and other product details persuaded Möhlendorff to change its supplier in this case.
