ELABO supports young people
As in previous years, seven trainees were taken on last year by ELABO in Crailsheim/Germany. The Crailsheim-based specialists for test engineering and technical workstations are training a total of 24 young people, leading to a final qualification. In relation to the 175 strong workforce, this equates to a trainee ratio of 12.5 percent and a fact of which the company is justly proud. ELABO will be increasing its training standard substantially. The idea behind this is not only to promote the good image already enjoyed by the company, but also to take an even greater interest in young people. This year will see the company commence internal seminars in its own training rooms equipped with 16 IT workstations. What is more, assistance will be provided by expert members of staff in problem subjects in an effort to boost performance. The company also attaches great importance to the fact that the young people enjoy their training and are content in their work. After all, this boosts performance. ELABO offers training for the professions of industrial mechanic and industrial electrician, and, in the commercial sector, for the qualification of industrial clerk in addition to engineering draughtsman. Trainees pass through all the departments at ELABO. By way of example, a trainee from the commercial department will also spend a certain amount of time in the production department. In this way, the trainees get to know the company from top to bottom. To date, the company has been able to take on all of its trainees. Young people interested in a traineeship can apply to ELABO from summer for the year 2005.
