Future-proof electronic laboratory work stations.
In order to be able to develop innovative products, engineers and technicians involved in research and development need a work environment that is both creative and productive at the same time.
What is commonly needed is integrated all-purpose measuring and testing apparatus, a practically integrated PC and monitor as well as a suitable area for all administrative activities that may arise. At the same time, the workstation system has to meet future demands that have not yet been defined. Variability in terms of the equipment's arrangement, the possibility of upgrading and expanding it and good accessibility to all systems are completely indispensable in order to be able to face new demands and tasks in future too.
ELABO GmbH headquartered in Crailsheim specialises in the development, production and sale of technical workstations. A number of workstation systems have been designed for a wide range of uses and are constantly being refined. What all the systems have in common is the InForm aluminium system profile. Attached to the profile are the "open end technology" for extending the respective table system upward, the wiring that is integrated into the profile, a comprehensive range of accessories that is compatible with all systems as well as a standardised functional and design element.
ELABO's InForm workstation product line has been specially designed with the needs of the researchers, developers, trainer, quality assurance staff and laboratories in mind. The InForm system table with its generously dimensioned cable duct and cable access vent forms the basis of the system. Further basic elements include chairs, under-table cupboard units, 19" cupboards, sideboards and wall-mounted cupboard units. All systems and accessory components are logically always available in standard or alternatively in ESD design.
The InForm basic unit can be extended and adapted modularly depending on the task at hand. Shelf units, 19" superstructures, swivel arms, lighting systems, energy systems, communications interfaces and countless accessory units can all be variably integrated with regard to height. The adaptation and the ergonomic arrangement of the components is realised using extendible InForm aluminium system profiles.
ELABO InForm-V forms the basic unit for the electromotive, height-adjustable version of the InForm workstation. The height of the seated or standing workstations can be adjusted at the push of a button. All adapted superstructure and extension components follow the motion.
The 19" superstructures that correspond to the 19" industrial standard can be equipped individually. The pre-wired network bus cable supplies all connected plug-in units with mains power. The user or the task which he is to perform determines how the workstation is configured: extraction points, mains power supply, AC and DC power supply, hydraulic components, multimeters, measuring and testing apparatus, single-phase and three-phase equipment, waveform generators, counters, calibrators or even just shelf compartments.
Optionally, customer- and application-specific measuring and testing apparatus can either be mounted onto shelf elements or integrated completely into the 19" superstructures. By grouping all components in the second or third level, the user has free access to the entire table. Furthermore, it is possible to arrange the required measuring and testing equipment ergonomically so that it is at eye level or within easy reach of the user.
Mobile systems make it possible to flexibly extend the work surface. Depending on configuration, they can, however, also be used to bear loads or accommodate 19" testing equipment. The mobile PC or the mobile measuring and testing units can be individually put into effect thanks to the system's almost infinite versatility. The accommodation of safety and socket modules as well as the cable duct has been functionally integrated.
