Welcome to ELABO

Four new apprentices started their training at ELABO

The 2019 German Apprenticeship Report was published just in time for the start of apprenticeship at the end of August - this year's main topic: Apprenticeship 4.0. To what extent are young apprentices prepared for digitisation and specifically qualified for digital technologies? The answer is sobering - although 80% of the trainees surveyed believe that topics such as digitisation and automation are important or very important in the training occupation, only just under half of them are specifically prepared for them.

At ELABO, the situation is different: During their training, trainees gain a comprehensive insight into the many and varied topics of digitisation. Starting with the digital assistance system in production, augmented and virtual reality, right through to driverless transport systems - at ELABO you come into contact with digitisation and industry 4.0 in many different ways.

The four new apprentices who started their training at ELABO on September 2 will also recognise this. The three electronics technicians for industrial engineering and one industrial clerk were welcomed and guided through the company by Martin Strätz, training officer in the production department (left in picture). And on 2 October, a small highlight is already on the agenda - this year's trainee excursion with a visit to MS Science, where the future topic of "artificial intelligence" will be vividly presented and made tangible.

The ELABO team is pleased about the new team members and wishes the new trainees a good start in their daily work.
