Elabo's process control furniture for new air-hub in Leipzig
The airport Leipzig / Halle has been growing rapidly during the last few years. Today, it ranks at position 12 in Germany as regards the number of passengers, regarding the volume of cargo the airport even ranks at position eight.
DHL just completed a new cargo centre and air hub, investing millions, in order to handle up to 60.000 parcels per hour. This turns Leipzig into the main hub for the European air-express. At 365 days during the year 2.000 tons of cargo will be processed operating 24 hours per day.
Therefore, the employees on a 24-hour-duty need extremely comfortable, flexible and ergonomically furniture in order to master this workload without damage. The furniture on the other hand has to withstand the long-term exposure without loosing its functionality.
This balancing act was performed by Elabo's process control furniture. The sophisticated technical construction of the operating working places meets these high requirements ideally. In addition, it counteracts a too early exhaustion of the employees, caused for example by too many hours in a sitting position.
By flexible height adjustment the furniture can be adapted to the individual requirements of each employee. On top of that the aesthetic robustness ensures durability.
Elabo's general concept was totally convincing and the delivery of the 30 fully equipped operating working places helps the employees of the new air hub to enjoy work more than feel the strain. And last but not least the technical furniture with office design is a benefit for the eyes.
